Kava (Piper methysticum) has been shared culturally across the Pacific Islands for over a thousand years. Known for its ability to relax the body while sharpening awareness, kava occupies a rare space between social ritual and plant medicine.
In this immersive outdoor session, you’ll:
Learn the origins and cultural history of kava across the Pacific
Understand how it works pharmacologically and why it can have astounding health benefits when used correctly
Discuss traditional preparation methods and participate in a shared kava circle with the opportunity to have two servings of kava to taste and experience
Discuss the intersection of modern science and ancient plant wisdom with a few to culturally appreciating this incredible plant.
The experience runs for approximately one hour and includes the opportunity to drink two shells of kava, an information session about the plant, discussion, and time for questions.
